Athlete marketing · Central New Jersey

The athletes twenty minutes from your door already have your customers' attention.

Advanca plans and runs name, image and likeness campaigns for New Jersey businesses. You bring the offer. We handle athlete selection, contracts, compliance filing, and the content itself.

5.6%

Average engagement rate

College athletes hold roughly three times the engagement of a typical paid influencer. Their audience is invested in what happens to them next week.

71%

Audience within the metro

A national creator sells reach in places you will never serve. A New Jersey athlete's following is largely people who could drive to you today.

Zero

Filings on your desk

Deals above $600 pass a compliance review before anything may post. We prepare the paperwork, track it, and build the schedule around it.

Services

Three things, done properly

Most people in this business make an introduction and step away. The introduction is the easy part.

Campaign management

We identify the athletes whose audience matches your customers, negotiate the rate, and run the campaign to a schedule you can plan around.

  • Athlete selection and rate negotiation
  • Contracts drafted and executed
  • Posting calendar approved in advance
  • Written report at close

Content production

Every athlete shoots on one day at one location. You receive a month of finished, on-brand video rather than a phone clip in a parking lot.

  • Batched shoot day, full roster
  • Vertical video, edited and captioned
  • Stills captured in the same session
  • Usage rights written into the agreement

Compliance handling

The disclosure layer is what stops most businesses from trying this at all. It is a defined process with a real timeline, and it is ours to manage.

  • Disclosures prepared for filing
  • Deliverables written to pass review
  • Nothing posts before clearance
  • Advertising disclosure on every post

Who you'll be working with

One person, start to finish

Advanca is run by Sam Pavlik, based in Bridgewater. I shoot and edit the content, prepare the compliance filings, and answer the phone. There is no account manager to be handed off to.

I started Advanca because local businesses keep paying for advertising that nobody in town watches, while the athletes at schools twenty minutes away hold the attention of exactly the customers those businesses want. Connecting the two is not complicated. Doing it properly — real contracts, cleared paperwork, content worth posting — is where most people stop.

  • Our fee is separate from athlete payBoth figures appear on the proposal in writing. We never take a percentage of what an athlete earns.
  • We are not a sports agencyWe do not represent athletes, sign them, or hold any claim on their future earnings. We are a marketing vendor.
  • Nothing runs before it clearsWe hold the publishing calendar so no athlete is ever the one who posted a deal early.
  • Every campaign is measuredYou decide on renewal from a number, not a feeling. If the cost per thousand doesn't beat what you pay elsewhere, don't renew.

Roster approach

Selected for fit, not follower count

A forty-thousand-follower account with silent comments is worth less to you than a volleyball player whose audience answers her. We verify the numbers before anyone is proposed.

Process

Six weeks, first meeting to final report

Compliance review is the only stage with a timeline we don't control, so every schedule carries slack. You'll have your live date before signing anything.

01

We establish what you're selling

Not brand awareness. An offer, a code, a slow night you want busier. We need something countable at the end.

Week one
02

You approve the athletes and the rate

We present three to five with verified figures. You choose. We negotiate the fee and put deliverables in writing.

Week two
03

The deal is filed for review

Anything above $600 is disclosed and reviewed before it can run. We prepare it to clear on the first submission.

Week three
04

The roster shoots in a single day

One location, every athlete, every deliverable. You review the cuts before anything is scheduled.

Week four
05

Publication on the approved calendar

Posts run on your dates, with proper advertising disclosure, from the athletes' own accounts.

Week five
06

You receive the numbers

One page: reach, engagement, redemptions, and cost per thousand people reached. That figure decides whether we do it again.

Week six

For athletes

No contract. No commission. No exclusivity.

We don't sign you and we don't take a percentage of your money. Advanca is paid by the business. You are paid by them as well, directly, and you keep all of it.

If a deal comes along that fits you, we'll bring it. If it doesn't, you won't hear from us about it.

  • We come to you firstWe'll produce something for you before asking for anything. It's yours either way.
  • You keep the full feeThe business pays you directly. Our fee comes from their side and is disclosed to both parties.
  • Your filing is prepared for youYou submit it — that part has to be you — but the paperwork arrives ready to send.
  • Nothing posts before clearanceWe hold the calendar so you're never the one who ran a deal early.
  • You'll understand the tax sideSet aside roughly thirty percent. We'll explain why and tell you to speak with an accountant, because we aren't one.

Common questions

Straight answers

Is this permitted?

Yes. Athletes have been able to earn from their name, image and likeness since 2021, and the framework was formalised further in 2025. What changed is that deals now pass a review before they run. That review is the reason to work with someone rather than message a player directly.

What do the athletes cost?

Most local deals fall between $50 and $500 per post, priced against how many people they actually reach rather than follower count. A four-week campaign with three athletes typically runs $600 to $2,000 in athlete fees. You'll see the breakdown per athlete before approving anything.

What if a deal is rejected in review?

It happens, usually because deliverables were written too vaguely or the fee didn't match the athlete's reach. We revise and resubmit. It's why we build extra time into the schedule rather than promising a live date next week.

What if an athlete transfers or is injured?

Every agreement addresses it. Work already delivered is paid for, the remainder is released, and we substitute from the roster with your approval. You won't be paying for a campaign that stopped.

Could I do this myself?

You could. The introduction is easy. What takes time is knowing which athletes hold real audiences, writing deliverables that pass review, tracking the filing, producing content that doesn't look like a phone video, and ensuring every post carries proper advertising disclosure — which is your liability, not the athlete's.

How will I know whether it worked?

A promotional code or tracked link on every campaign, and a one-page report at close covering reach, engagement, redemptions, and cost per thousand people reached. If that figure doesn't beat what you're paying elsewhere, don't renew.
